DR. WILLIAM LESTER-- Author, Paranormal Researcher, Commentator

Christmas 1972

Dr. William A. Lester was born and raised in Atlanta, GA.  With both parents working in the field of education, the Lester household was not only a place filled with books, magazines and newspapers—but also a place in which the value of a good education received heavy emphasis. Reading was always the order of the day—but there were never excessive restrictions placed on movies and television. In those days, William— going by the boyhood nickname of “Chuck” enjoyed programs like Star Trek, Night Gallery, Jonny Quest, Ultraman, Kolchak: The Night Stalker, Batman

The interest in unexplained phenomena seemed to come naturally.  There were books like The Mothman Prophecies, and A Wrinkle in Time. There were television programs like Project UFO, and films like The Land That Time Forgot.  All of these fueled the young man’s curiosity about the world around him—often leaving more questions than answers.

As the years passed, William gained an appreciation for music.  While appreciating various musical styles, he found great affinity for 60s and 70s music and began building a music library that remains the object of his interest. He also became a self-taught musician, and became proficient on the drums and guitar by the age of 20.

William graduated from Morris Brown College in 1993 and following in his parent’s footsteps, entered the field of education. In subsequent years, he went on to earn advance degrees including a Master of Science in 1999 and a Ph. D. in 2002.

Between 1998 and 2006, William published Shadowland, a quarterly magazine that featured science fiction, fantasy, and horror short fiction, poetry and art. In that period he also published four books—Star Messiah (1999); The Children of the Night (2002); Dimension X (2004); and Victory or Death (2006). These titles are now available for the first time in E-book format!
